Please Support FMJI in Your Year-end Giving

By Thomas Rains

At the Judge Frank M. Johnson, Jr. Institute, the list of things we are proud of increases with each project we launch and as demand for our work grows. Now in our second full year of operation, it’s clear that we are meeting a need as people seek to learn stories of justice from our nation’s history.

In 2021, our supporters made it possible to:

  • Train over 50 teachers through our new civics education workshops,

  • Teach hundreds of students, community leaders, and members of the public from around the world through our growing programming, and

  • Launch an oral history project to capture powerful stories of justice from history.

This year, we’ve watched students light up learning about Judge Johnson’s courage, heard from viewers about how our programming invigorated them, recorded moving oral histories, and watched visitors stand in reverence in “America’s Courtroom” as they realize the history that took place there.

We’re continuing to expand opportunities to engage with the Constitution and the stories that illuminate its significance. Will you join us as we educate and lift up the next generation of Judge Johnsons in their journeys to be pillars of justice and courage, and upholders of the law?
